If you only needed to see a captioned, watermark-free export, the cheaper seat can make sense. If the workspace must stay yours, pay them.
What I check before I rely on an export
I would not upload a client shoot on day one. I would use a public 30-second clip I already posted.
Then I would run auto-captions and export. I would look for a watermark-free MP4, not only a pretty preview. That is the Free versus Pro test. If the file still carries the mark, the seat is too thin.
Then I would resize to vertical and download an SRT if the button is there. I would glance at whether comments still open on the project link. I would keep the session short so I am not fighting another user on the same timeline.
If captions never generate, I would stop the same day.
